It has been a busy week this week as the Group prepares for the Annual Meeting of the City Council next week and Council business begins to get underway.

Labour run Birmingham City Council’s plans for an Athletes Village for the Commonwealth Games in 2022 have been abandoned with the Government stepping in to ensure that athletes can be accommodated during the £750m event.
The Birmingham Conservative Group have slammed Labour run Birmingham City Council, for failing to produce an air quality action plan for over four years. Consultation is finally soon set to begin on an Air Quality Action Plan that was due to be renewed four years ago in 2016.
