Acocks Green Conservative Candidate Richard Sparkes has had a good response to his recent leaflet which was delivered across the ward. A number of local residents contacted Richard to say that they were unhappy with the general state of the area. Complaints included dirty street signs, potholes and the amount of litter across Acocks Green. In response to this he decided that something needed to be done about it.
Richard and his team have been out and about in the ward cleaning roads signs, picking up litter and reporting potholes to the council.
Richard says, “Acocks Green is such a great place to live and, as a local resident, I want it to stay that way. Therefore I have been working hard to help ensure that it does. When Birmingham last had a Conservative led council the city won the British Cleaning Council’s Cleanest City Award. Those days are long gone under the current Labour Council.”
