Birmingham Conservatives have announced they will keep all of Birmingham's School Crossing Patrols, should they win control of the Birmingham City Council in May.
Cllr Robert Alden said "the fact that Birmingham Labour think it is right to scrap the hard working School Crossing Patrol men and women, who keep our cities children safe show just how little the ruling administration care about the citizens f our City. When faced with a budget of £3billion they are unable to even work out a way of saving just £500,000 to keep the school crossing patrols, which are so valued. Residents can back our campaign to save them online at http://www.birminghamconservatives.org.uk/crossing-patrols".
Robert added "of course it is only 12 months since Labour last threatened to axe them all, and then pulled out 8 weeks before polling day. Yet now they say just because they promised to keep them last May that doesn't mean they will now. Betraying residents trust. So today we are sending residents of Birmingham a clear message - Vote Conservative in May to save our school crossing patrols".
