Stop the Travel Tax

 

Daily charges for some vehicles to drive through Birmingham are being introduced in June by the Labour Council.

The “Travel Tax” threatens jobs in our city. Risks our ability to Build Back Better after the pandemic. And will hit the least well-off the hardest.

It's charged at £8 a day. Meaning a daily driver into the city centre will pay £2,920 a year.  

With businesses announcing they will move out of Birmingham due to the new 'Travel Tax', the charge simply push pollution into neighbouring areas and risk jobs.

We think the Labour run Council needs to scrap the plans and focus on investing in green infrastructure instead. Please sign our petition to show your support:
